Holograms stickers and labels are made by using prismatic light sources or laser beams. These lights create an image on the holographic paper, thus making an image that is three-dimensional due to the prism. This may sound a difficult process to perform, but there are many ways in which one can do it without much trouble. Follow the below steps to create a holographic image on your own:
- A hologram product is made in a dark and a quite room, to get more effects. So the first step is to find a room that is dark enough for the image to be created perfectly. Also make sure that the object you create the image in is kept on a steady surface. If the object moves during the process, it will make the image erroneous.
- Take an object in which you want to create the holographic image. The image can be created on any surface. It is preferred to take metallic surfaces because they are capable of reflecting the laser light more efficiently than other objects.
- Keep the item in which you want to create the image on the table or the floor that is steady.
- Now take a laser and place it in such a way that its beam covers the whole object. Remember to place it about 40 cm far. The laser should also be steady so that the image doesn’t move.
- Switch on the laser and let it warm for a while. Now add the processing chemicals in an appropriate amount. There are many types of processing baths available in the market, which you can get easily.
- Block the laser beam with a small sheet of cardboard and pinpoint the holographic mix on the holographic plate. The emulsion side becomes sticky.
- Now rest the holographic plate alongside the object with the emulsion side touching. Fix the cardboard again after 8-10 sec and stop the contraction.
- Finally keep the holographic plate to develop using the prepared chemical solutions. Now dry the plate and your holographic image is ready.
